Thailand: Further opening for international tourism in October

On 2 September, the Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports announced that the country would continue to open up to international tourism. In a first experimental opening phase in July, the destinations of Phuket and Koh Samui were made accessible to vaccinated travellers. Now, following the success of the first phase, the regions of Bangkok, Chon Buri (Pattaya), Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin) and Chiang Mai are also to open for international tourists from 1 October.
