Austria: RKI classifies nearly the entirety of Austria as a high-risk area from 16 January

On Friday (14 January), the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) updated its list of international risk areas. Based on the new classification, Austria will be listed as an international high-risk area with effect from Sunday (16 January). This means that from 16 January, a travel warning is issued by the Federal Foreign Office for Austria.
Exempted are the communities of Mittelberg and Jungholz and the Rißtal in the muncipality of Vomp and Eben am Achensee.
