Datum: 24. November 2021 08:17
New Zealand will reopen its borders to international visitors in April 2022. This was announced by Chris Hipkins, Minister for COVID-19 Response, on Wednesday (24 November). According to his statement, fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed to enter the country from 30 April 2022. Incoming travellers will have to provide a negative pre-departure test, take a second COVID-19 test on arrival and self-isolate for 7 days.
The borders will be opened gradually: From 16 January, vaccinated nationals and permanent residents who are currently stranded in Australia will be allowed to return to New Zealand. Those currently staying in other countries will be permitted to do so from 13 February.
New Zealand's borders have been closed since March 2020.
