New Zealand: Travel remains impossible until 2022
Datum: 12. August 2021 11:22
According to reports from 12 August, New Zealand is planning a gradual opening only in early 2022: Quarantine-free entry for vaccinated travellers from low-risk countries is to become possible from then on. According to this, travel to the island will remain impossible for non-New Zealanders and persons who do not have permanent residence in New Zealand until 2022. The reason for this is, among other things, the rather low vaccination rate in the country.
Also the so-called travel bubble (quarantine-free travel) between New Zealand and the neighboring country Australia was suspended on 23 July due to the outbreak of the Delta variant there for at least eight weeks.
