Japan: RKI classifies Japan as a high-risk area from 23 January

On Friday (21 January), the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) updated its list of international risk areas. Based on the new classification, Japan will be listed as an international high-risk area with effect from Sunday (23 January). This means that from 23 January, a travel warning is issued by the Federal Foreign Office for Japan.
