Italy: Gradual lifting of COVID-19 measures as of 01 April

From 01 April, proof of vaccination, recovery, or a current negative COVID-19 test will no longer be required for access to hotels, public transport and shops. From 01 May, the Italian green pass will be abolished in all other public areas. Until 01 May, proof of vaccination or recovery is needed for indoor public areas, restaurants, cultural and sports facilities. From 01 April onwards, the obligation to provide proof of vaccination or recovery is dropped in outdoor areas. On flights and long-distance trains, proof of vaccination, recovery, or a current negative test is needed until 01 May. As of 01 April, all capacity restrictions for public events will be abolished. From now on, only individuals with acute COVID-19 infection will have to isolate themselves. Contact persons will not be subject to quarantine.
