Germany: Bavaria announces significant tightening of corona measures
Datum: 19. November 2021 13:58
Due to rapidly rising infection figures, Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder has announced a significant tightening of the current corona measures in the Free State. Clubs, discos and bars will close completely until 15 December and all Christmas markets will be cancelled. For the rest of the gastronomy, a curfew from 10 p.m. will apply. In districts with an incidence of more than 1,000, everything will be closed for the next three weeks where 2G or 2G-Plus was previously in force, i.e. catering establishments as well as sports, cultural and leisure facilities. No more events are allowed to take place in these districts. For the unvaccinated, contact restrictions will also apply with immediate effect; only a maximum of five people from two households are allowed to meet, not including children under 12 years of age.
