Brazil: Five day quarantine for unvaccinated travellers; vaccination not mandatory for entry

Datum: 9. Dezember 2021 11:36

Changes are imminent for travellers to Brazil: According to media reports, unvaccinated travellers will soon have to go into quarantine for five days after arrival. At the end of the quarantine period, a COVID-19 test will be taken out. Information on when this regulation will come into force and further details have not yet been disclosed.

However, the vaccination certificate proposed by the health authority Anvisa as mandatory was rejected by President Bolsonaro. A general vaccination requirement for entry will therefore not be implemented.
